You hurry to the elevator banks and slide into one before the door shuts. There is only one other person in the elevator, a man holding a red baseball cap in his hands. He's twisting the hat in clenched fists and doesn't glance up when you step in. The button for the top floor is already pressed, you figure you can ride up and then work your way back down. Now all that you have to do is ride.
