You head down the path into the trees. The walk is actually surprisingly nice. Certainly better than going into the office without the report you were supposed to be turning in. You wind through the trees and past the little duck pond. There is a woman sitting on a bench there feeding some of the ducks. There's a couple snuggling with cups of coffee under another tree and you pass several dog walkers. Makes you think about Jewel and how much you want a dog. You continue on the path and get deeper into the bushes and trees. This is where you expect to find Jewel only nothing is there.
Confused you try to remember Allie's phone number, but for the life of you you can't remember what it was. You decide to head back to your apartment, the day has already been confusing enough.
