You’ve got nothing better to do so you accept Sawyer’s offer for lunch. The food is incredible and so is the company. You find yourself more and more glad that this Riley didn’t show up. Sawyer is funny and sweet and it turns out you have the same taste in music. Two hours pass without you even realizing it and you could probably stay for two more. The servers, however, would prefer you clear before the dinner rush arrives. You tell Sawyer you had a wonderful time and ask if they would like to see you again. You’re more excited than you want to admit when they agree. You make plans to meet up after you’re done with work tomorrow and go to the retro arcade bar they heard about. You walk back to your apartment with a wide smile on your face and settle happily onto the couch.
