You decide to grab a bite to eat in the restaurant next door. The place is called Salt & Ember. The hostess seats you at a table off to the side. You order the chicken, and it's absolutely incredible. While you eat you get a news alert on your phone. A man jumped off a building a couple of blocks from the restaurant and also the mayor's dog gave birth to six puppies. Apparently there will be a contest to name them. You're distracted from thinking of puppy names by raised voices on the other side of the restaurant. A patron is pleading with the manager that they just had their wallet. They frantically dig through the pockets of the their green coat but come up empty handed. The manager doesn't seem amused and kicks them out of the restaurant. You find yourself thinking that maybe you aren't having the worst day after all. You finish your meal and head back to your apartment.
